Andrea Mattio was born in Buenos Aires, studied stage design and costume design at the Universidad del Salvador, and did seminars on stage art with Rubén Szuchmacher, and costume design with Alejandra Espector. Since its beginnings on television, Andrea has become a national and international costume designer, dedicating himself to film, theater and advertising. Among the feature films he made, is «La Antena» by Esteban Sapir, for which he received nominations for the Sur and Cóndor awards. As well as the feature film «2001, while Kubrick was in space» by Gabriel Nicoli. In 2017, she was the costume designer of Valeria Bertucelli’s debut opera: «La Reina del Miedo» (winner of the Sundance festival). His work was highly praised by the press and the general critic. In Theater, has been the costume designer of the group «Fuerza Bruta», from his training in 2003 to the present. In 2010, she was the integral designer of the «Parade of the Bicentennial», in 2017 she traveled to Tokyo to give shape to the costumes of a show of this company based on Japanese culture. In 2018 he made the costumes for the «Parade of Opening of the Youth Olympic Games». Both Parades, have been considered unprecedented events led by Dicky James, with great international impact and more than 3500 people on stage. In advertising he has worked with directors such as Pucho Mentasti, Esteban Sapir, Javier Nir, Diego Kaplan, the duo «Baby» and Adriana Laham, for the the most important producers of the country in national and international projects. Since 2004 she has her own costume production company: «Villa Bonita», and throughout her career she has managed to combine her work with her love for fashion, creating several clothing brands , among which is «HULA», an independent brand dedicated to the design based on unique textiles and capsule collections. Currently it is dedicated to the design of the costumes of all the works of Fuerza Bruta to be premiered in different countries, along with audiovisual projects and the design of your brand. Andrea is a genuine and deep costume designer, capable of creating costumes from conceptual or concrete interpretation, always including fashion, as a vital element in her designs.
